Pooh bear Birthday Cake

This 2 tier Pooh bear theme cake was made for a two year old birthday boy. The entire cake theme was designed to match the Pooh bear story environment. It consisted of the Pooh bear log-house under a tree, some fields of flowers with fence and Pooh bear friends Eeyore and Tigger near by the fence. Since Pooh bear is always associated with honey, I included lots of honeybees flying here and there.

The topper of the cake consisted of a sugar-made number 2 and a Pooh bear candle next to it.

The kids in the party had fun eating the sugar flowers, chocolate fence, sugar honeybees, icing house and the trees.

Wedding Anniversary Cake

This cake was designed for our (me & hubby) 5th wedding anniversary. The inspiration for this cake was the snow in our backyard. Over the last weeks we have had several inches of snow in our area. The snow covered backyard looks amazing to view from inside the house. I have always wanted to create a snowman with all that snow, but have not yet dared to go out in the freezing temperatures to fulfill that wish :-) So I decided why not make a snowman couple for the theme.

The cake is simply frosted with spatula strokes to represent the snow covered ground. Couple of snowflakes are added behind the couple for dimensional effect.

Pink Wedding Shower Cake

This sweet and simple cake is designed for a wedding shower. Soft pastel pink is the bridal color used for the cake. To highlight the softness of the entire cake a pink rose spray is added for decoration. Here is the close view of the rose spray. These flowers are made from gumpaste. Gumpaste is a pliable sugar dough consisting of a combination of plant gums. The loopy ribbon bows adds elegance to the floral spray. This can be a valuable keep-sake for the bride.

Give Thanks

Thanksgiving, is a traditional North American holiday to give thanks for the things that one has at the conclusion of the harvest season.

Cornucopia (a Horn shaped container) is the most common symbol of a harvest festival which is filled with abundance of the Earth's harvest.

This cake is designed to Give Thanks in the symbolic way with some harvest vegetables.

Here is a closeup view of the vegetables. All the veggies are edible and hand molded from sugar fondant.

Golfer Cake

This cake was designed for a person who is interested in golfing. My idea was to create the golf course scene with couple of trees, some land and water patches and ofcourse a Golfer who successfully hit the ball to the flag.

Thanksgiving Turkey

An excellent way to have Turkey for main meal and Turkey for dessert. The cooked turkey which is the speciality for Thanksgiving is the inspiration for this cake. The cake is surrounded with cilantro, broccoli and cut lemon slices to give the feel of the real turkey. This cake was nearly the size of the actual Thanksgiivng turkey.

Autumn Harvest

This cake represents all the elements of autumn. Autumn is generally a season of harvest of pumpkins and corn. This is the time in which we see fall colors and lots of mums in bloom. This cake is decorated to blend all these elements and give a pleasant look.

Here is the closeup of the pumpkins & corn. These are hand molded from fondant. Everything on the cake is edible.

Fall wreath cake

Fall is a season with great colors. The sight of the changing leaf colors on the trees is outstanding. This cake is designed in the form of a wreath with the colorful fall leaves, pumpkins and squashes.

Elegant Mum Cake

Mums are the most common flowers seen blooming in fall season. This cake is designed to reflect the colors of this season. The cascading effect on the design with the yellows and oranges adds charm to this cake.

Chocolate strawberry cake

This yummy chocolate cake was decorated with chocolate dipped strawberries. The rich chocolate scrolls on the sides add a touch of elegance. This cake is perfect for any kind of celebration, especially when strawberries are in season.
